Google just announced the new release of latest version of Android. The new version named as Android Lollipop or simply Android version 5.0 or Android L.
There are many new features of Android Lollipop that are listed below:
Material Design: Responsive UI design for consistent, intuitive experiences. UI is responsive, natural motion, realistic lighting and shadows.
Notifications: Control when and how you receive your messages. You can view and respond to messages directly from your locked screen. Also control notifications of your applications.
Battery: A battery saver feature included in Android L Lollipop, which extends device use by up to 90 minutes. Also displays estimated time left to fully charge when device is plugged in.
Security: This feature provides encryption automatically turned on to help protect data on lost or stolen.
Device Sharing: More flexible sharing with family and friends. If you forget your phone, you still can call any of your friends by simply logging into another Android phone running Lollipop.
New Quick Settings: Get to the most frequently used settings with just two swipes down from the top of the screen.
Connectivity: A better internet connection everywhere and more powerful Bluetooth low energy capabilities.
Run-time and Performance: A faster, smother and more powerful computing experience. ART, an entirely new Android run-time, improves application performance and responsiveness.
